Several short (four and five day) tours of Morocco will be offered in the days immediately before and also immediately after the Symposium by the Marrakech tourism company Intour:

• The Imperial Cities (Fez and Meknes, as well as Marrakech)
• An adventure to the desert regions: Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Erfoud, Merzougua and other localities
• And for the energetic, trekking in the Atlas mountains

Before the symposium, one tour starts from Casablanca and one from Marrakech. Both finish in Marrakech. After the symposium, all tours start from Marrakech; and finish in either Marrakech or Casablanca.

Several half-day and full-day tours to places of interest will be offered during the week of the Symposium, and are also described on the TOUR DESCRIPTION document. These may be booked in advance, using the RESERVATION FORM, but you will also be able to purchase tickets on site. Intour will also organise these half and full day tours on other days if there is sufficient demand.

The symposium banquet will be on the Thursday evening, May 15 in a huge tent where a traditional Moroccan feast will be followed by a Moroccan "fantasia": a spectacle with folk dancers and a cavalcade of horsemen. More details are given in the TOUR DESCRIPTION document. The cost will be $US 60. Reservations should be made on the Symposium Registration Form.
